Steven J. Walsh has been involved in real estate development since 2001 both as a mortgage broker and a savvy investor of his personal assets. His strong analytical skills, resourceful contacts, and persuasive negotiation tactics are his trademarks as a business professional. His current role in Ibis Development is as a board member, outside management consultant and a real estate market specialist for the West Palm Beach and Tampa areas.

After a successful 11 year professional career in the National Football League, Mr. Walsh retired to become an Assistant Vice President overseeing the Palm Beach Gardens office for HomeBanc Mortgage. In addition to his administrative duties, Mr. Walsh was also one of the leading mortgage banking producers for his company. As an investor, he has financed and participated in many regional projects with some of South Florida’s leading real estate developers. He is currently the Head Coach of the Cardinal Newman High School Football team.

The St. Paul, Minnesota native initially came to South Florida to attend the University of Miami. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance with honors. As the starting Quarterback, he led the 1987 Miami Hurricanes to a National Championship and was also a Finalist for the Heisman Trophy. Mr. Walsh is the proud father of three children and his interests include golf, ice hockey, and regional work as a television and radio football host and analyst.
